"Fight or Flight"- Abby Lyons' Senior Project

Hi, my name is Abby Lyons! I am a senior contemporary dance major at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. As a part of the curriculum, all seniors must complete a senior project. This project can be anything from starting a blog to even starting a business. It just has to be something that we are passionate about. I am incredibly passionate about an open dialogue surrounding mental health, especially in the dance community.

For my project, I have decided to create a short contemporary ballet based on my struggles with anxiety and all the things that come along with it. I have written a proposal, cast my piece, and even started rehearsals. For this work to really get off the ground, I need your help! Anything you can give will go towards paying for costumes, set pieces, promotional materials, and, most importantly, making sure my wonderful dancers and team are compensated for their time and energy.
