Fight like a Williams

Hey there I’m Whitney Bennett a friend of the Williams family! I’d like to share a little bit of their story with you and why we need to come together to help take some weight off of the shoulders of these two amazing parents.
I’ve known Morgan since high school in Corvallis Montana. My husband and I helped him find the love of his life with some mutual friends of Karlis... it was an instant love affair starting from a blind date, they were married and shortly after a long road of struggling to get pregnant Karli was finally blessed to carry a child a little joy named Everly Grace Williams came into this world on Dec 21st, 2018 After a very difficult pregnancy and labor. At just a month old she was hospitalized with RSV and the doctors also found a small hole in her heart and the parents were told surgery would be necessary if it didn’t close on its own by a year old. When they went back for a check at about a year old the hole had healed itself but more problems arose, her heart was working twice as heard to pump blood throughout her body and provide perfusion, what a scare... not out of the woods yet with that, in April of 2021 Karli took her in noticing a few cautionary signs and was in fact referred to an oncologist were after a few tests they came back with the diagnosis that haunts to many parents today cancer, CML leukemia(chronic myeloid leukemia) where she has an abnormal chromosome that produces a protein it shouldn’t, the cancer this is a life long sentence for this little girl... and you would never know what this little super hero is dealing with she hides it behind her sweet smile energizing personality and a touch of sass.
On top of battling this with weekly chemo since then for Everly, Karli herself has ran into scary medical problems first was told having more children bc of the amount of blood loss after Everly and other issues that arouse would be a difficult journey, something they are still trying to work out and make decisions with. Then a growth in her kidney was found unexpectedly and it’s already taking over the function of the kidney to work properly, accompanied by a surgery to get rid of unbelievable endometriosis! These two girls have been put through the ringer is an understatement and you would never know! Karli will go out of her way to help everyone else before she helps herself!
While her devoted husband works he has been struggling with intense back pain visiting the ER himself and chiropractic care he still pushes through his own pain to be there for his wife and daughter by being a provider and working 14hr days to help pay these medical bills. They have fought long enough I think it’s time for the safety raft.
It took allot of convincing for them to let me do this small gesture for them. I do ask that if you see this courageous family not to look in sympathy but a smile of compassion. They don’t want Everly to feel like she’s any different then any other 3 year old.
