Fight Like a Mother

Amy Richard, Mother of 2, wife, and nurse was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer in January of 2018. This cancer is not curable, and while Amy is fighting back, life has changed forever. As we were blessed by an out-pouring of local support, we raised enough money for Amy to travel to Germany  for a month to receive cutting edge treatments not approved by the FDA, and not covered by insurance. These treatments, such as a cancer vaccine, using Amy's own cells to kill the cancer, were expensive and will take some time to work. During this time, Amy will need to rest, and focus on healing. Unfortunately, this may mean that Amy will not be able to work as she once did as a full time nurse at Central Maine Medical Center. After using their savings to pay for the hopefully life saving treatment, Amy and her husband Chris will need our help. to get through this next stage of the fight.
