FIGHT LIKE A GIRL !!--ROUND #2

Our daughter Gabriella’s Leukemia has come back with a vengeance. Her blood is currently 50% cancer and her bones are so densely packed with cancer cells, the doctors could not get the needle into her pelvic bone to take a marrow sample. This is her second bout with cancer, the first was when she was just 7 years old. After 3 years of chemotherapy treatments and then almost 2 years of blood tests, to monitor her progression, it has come back into our family's life again. Gabriella has Pre-B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). This particular form of children's cancer affects the white blood cells.

Gabriella’s medical expenses from the first round exceeded well beyond our financial means. We have not even recovered from the overwhelming costs accrued during the first fight and now we face this again. Gabriella lives about 2½ hours from the hospital in Farmington, NM and will have to travel quite frequently to receive her chemotherapy treatments. This year, she will spend Christmas at UNM on the Pediatric Oncology Specialty Unit.  No worries though, Santa will find his way to our brave and courageous little girl who is fighting her way back out of this brutal process for the second time.
