<div>I had just begun my life as a first-time mum for five months.

<div>My name is Anna, and I am a student at CDU. I have spent half of my life with my husband. We met each other 14 years ago and has fallen in love from the age of 18 till now. On 7th February 2022, we were blessed with our beautiful baby girl Sunny.

<div>However, one month ago, our whole world came crashing down. I went into RDH with a faint and was shocked to receive a diagnosis of GBM (a fast-growing and aggressive brain glioma tumor) in my brain stem. Only 3 to 6 months can I live with essential treatment.

<div>The tumor started in my brainstem and has spread quickly throughout the spinal cord. The doctor said this type of glioma is extremely rare, with only one or two cases in Australia, and no doctor can do surgery for me. I have limited time left, but I hope the essential treatment will give me a little more time.

<div>I try to be strong. But I can't control my tears whenever I think of my baby. She is a five months old happy girl. She always has a big bright smile on her face. She has no idea what is happening and even has no chance to know her mum. I won’t even be there to hear her say "mummy."

<div>I think of how I won’t be there to see her crawl, walk, and talk, how I wouldn’t be there to celebrate her birthdays, to send her to school or read a bedtime story, to teach her swimming and riding, to travel around the world, and take her shopping, to watch her grow up, meet her boyfriend one day and be there at her wedding day...

<div>My husband is amazing. He is a strong man. When he first heard the bad news, he comforted me, saying, “Don’t worry dear, even if the sky falls down, I will be there to carry it up for you.” He goes to work while I am in the hospital so that we can continue paying our rent and living expenses. He cooks delicious meals, cleans the house, and is a wonderful dad to Sunny. He hastened to hold a wedding for us after my diagnosis, which we had been looking forward to but postponed because of covid. We both love each other more than our life. He even said he'd like to trade his life for my health.

<div>My elderly parents visiting from overseas are taking turns caring for my baby – we haven't seen each other face to face for four years because of covid. My mother has medical conditions, and my father is handicapped. They don’t speak English, and neither can work. My husband even has no time to be sad because he is the only person in our family who can work to support us financially.

<div>I just had my 28-year-old birthday, and I don't want to leave now. I need to fulfill my roles and responsibilities. I am a mum, a wife, a daughter, a friend and a member of society. I want to keep smiling, helping and caring for everyone I meet. So I searched for the possibility of surgery worldwide on the internet. And I found a German hospital that could do surgery for me, but it would cost more than a million.

<div>Asking for your help is the only way I can try to save my life and secure a future for my poor little girl. Maybe I won’t be there to see my baby grow up in this world, but I am sure she will live up to be a cheerful, optimistic, kind and innocent girl just like me – if you can give her enough for her living expenses, I would be able to rest in peace.

<div>The tumor pressing and the treatment's side effects give me severe headaches and make me dizzy and disabled. I have worked on writing this campaign with the help of my friends. I am incredibly grateful for all the friends and the people who have ever supported us so far on this journey.
