Fight Greenwashing & COP29: Fund the Truth on Our Streets

COP29’s choice of Azerbaijan as host is deeply problematic. This is a country with a documented history of human rights abuses, including the genocide of the Indigenous Armenian population of Artsakh, forced displacement, and ongoing detention of prisoners of war in violation of international law. Despite this, Azerbaijan is being handed a global stage to greenwash its image — masking a record of environmental exploitation and brutal human rights violations.

This hypocrisy cannot go unchallenged. COP29 should uplift voices committed to genuine climate action, not states that perpetuate violence and exploitation. As a grassroots collective, we urgently need your help to spread the truth. With your support, we’ll print posters and raise awareness around the city, urging the public to boycott this event and confront COP29’s complicity in legitimizing state-sponsored genocide and environmental abuse.
