Lillabeth's Fight Against Cancer

Lillabeth, our mum, was recently blindsided this winter with a diagnosis of advanced stage pancreatic cancer.  When we first learned the news, we weren’t sure how serious it was until we met with several doctors and found out that it comes with an extremely poor prognosis and small window of opportunity for treatment by conventional methods.   Not to mention, for pancreatic cancer, these methods are very new, not well understood, aggressive on quality of life and can only promise a dishearteningly small chance for recovery. 

            Our family is very close and survives through our small family landscaping business.  From a lifetime of experience, mum knows that plant health issues should not be treated by masking symptoms with environmentally toxic chemicals, but by improving the surrounding environment so that the plant is strong enough to rejuvenate itself.  This is part of the reason mum was so interested in finding alternative care options and what brought us to Dr. Ian D. Bier; a Naturopathic Oncologist at Human Nature Natural Health.  He is an extremely accomplished doctor who looks closely at each individual patient, as well as endless current research, to provide the best chances someone has with or without chemo.  The problem is, even though he has had much success treating cancer using thoroughly researched natural methods, being non-conventional means insurance companies refuse to fund this kind of treatment, which is unfortunately out of reach for us to afford. 

            Knowing that we need to act fast to overcome this, we have already begun treatment with Dr. Bier, which turns out to be thousands of dollars each month.  We are determined to win but will need your help to continue affording treatment.  We would deeply appreciate whatever you can contribute whether it be money, prayers or other resources for dealing with pancreatic cancer.
