<div>Those of you who know me know asking for help is very hard for me. I do my best to keep my personal life off of social media, but I no longer have that luxury. <strong>I am at risk of losing full-time custody of my son.</strong> Not because I'm a bad mother, not because I've done anything wrong, and definitely not because I should. I'm at risk because I no longer have a lawyer for financial reasons in this year-long custody battle with his dad. My lawyer dropped me because I could not continue paying him.

<div>My son has lived with me his entire life while visiting his dad during his scheduled times, most weekends and school breaks. Until last year when he decided not to bring my son back to me for his first day of kindergarten. My son started school in another state, hours away from his home. It took 4 months of prayer, court dates, and thousands of dollars for my son to be returned to me. I was mentally broken. I cried every single day longing for my son to come home.

<div>Now that a temporary order is in place, he is back home. A permanent order still has to be set. <strong>If I do not have a lawyer by the trial setting hearing on August 5th, I will have to represent myself.</strong> I have full faith that any judge will see through his lies, deceit, and carelessness, but I cannot go into a courtroom alone. I'm asking you all for your help in this. My family and I have already paid a lawyer almost $10,000 since August of 2024. We have exhausted all resources. In an effort to keep our heads above water financially and continue fighting for my son, I'm humbling myself and asking for help. I appreciate you for reading this.
