Fight Ellis Act for our home

My neighbors and I were recently notified that a new owner has purchased our rent controlled building and his intention is to evict us all and turn it in to a co-op. Most of my neighbors are elderly and have lived here as long as 33 years. We've loved living here and love our lives here. 
Our intention is to try and fight it as much as we can. I will be using funds to find legal assistance and if we are left with no choice, relocation.
