Fight DCF for custody of my grandson

I raised my grandson from the time he was born until he was 7 1/2 years old.  I recently moved to a new town, on a pond, with a dock; the perfect environment to raise a little boy.  DCF initially inspected the home and approved it; however, the case was transferred to a different DCF office where they denied the homestudy due to living on the water.  I went from having him with me, to now only being able to see him for 2 hours, once a month, at another location.  He can never come to this house according to them.  I am applying for a fair hearing, but there is no available public defender.... I have reached out to local attorneys and I am appalled that I will need to spend AT LEAST $30,000 dollars in order to have fair representation by a lawyer.  My life, and my grandson's life have been turned upside down.  He misses me, I miss him, and he is currently living in a foster home.  During his time at the foster home he has fallen noticeably behind in his schooling, and the environment while it may meet some of his most basic needs, can NOT be described as a loving one.  Please let me bring my grandson home to his family where his is loved.  It is not right that the Department of Children and Families has been operating in their own best interest and not in the best interest of the CHILD and the FAMILY.

We have to work quickly as the the clock is ticking.  The lawyer I have been in contact with needs a 1/3 down payment now and will need another 1/3 in 60 days, and the final 1/3 in 90 days!
