Fight Appeal by Rocco Homes re Tudor Williams

Hi there, my name is Peter and I am asking for help to raise funds to pay for the services of a Planning Consultant to back the local residents cause in the fight against Rocco Homes enquiry into Kingston Councils non decision on their planning application, to redevelop the former Tudor Williams site into a 9 storey block of flats.

Rocco Homes appealed to the Secretary of State against a decision of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames for not determining within 13 weeks for the planning permission.

We believe, that if this appeal is won by Rocco Homes, and they go ahead and build the 9 storey building on the High Street, that this would set a precedent for other developers and landlords to follow suit, completely destroying the High Street.

The Inquiry arrangements are being finalised by the Planning Inspectorate.

If we (residents) want to take part in the Inquiry, then we can if we apply for what is known as Rule 6 status. This means that we would be able to present our evidence on a formal basis and cross examine the evidence of others.

Ideally we would want an expert to represent us, and we believe an experienced Town Planning Consultant would be that person...but they don't come cheap!

We need to raise £6,500, which would cover the fees and expenses of a particular, highly experienced Planning Consultant who is willing to take on this representation at a much reduced fee.

If we are unable to reach this sum, then all donations will be refunded.
