<div>Hello my name is Nothando and in November 2024 i developed severe back pain out of nowhere which i soon discovered in January 2025 to be multiple cancerous lesions within my spine, pelvis and left adrenal gland. After spending a month in hospital under investigation the doctors couldn’t find the primary source of the cancer. It was diagnosed as Cancer of unknown primary for months while i was still under investigation,

<div>including multiple scans, tests, a bone biopsy and the surgical removal of my left adrenal gland to determine the primary cancer and get a proper diagnosis. In April 2025 the results from the surgery concluded that i had a rare, aggressive and incurable type of cancer called Metastatic Angiosarcoma (Metastatic meaning it had spread from one place to another, also meaning that it is already at stage 4). Life has drastically changed in so many ways, Physically, mentally and emotionally. From being a normal 22 year old enjoying life running my own business as a hairstylist, going out with friends and travelling to having a stage 4 rare cancer. I want to raise awareness for Angiosarcoma because not many people know about it and how it affects others, with it being rare it means that treatment isn’t currently available. I was told i was going to receive palliative treatment to manage my pain. So i am on continuous medication as i suffer from constant chronic back pain. My Doctor says there isn’t much that can be done about the cancer since it’s in such a difficult place to treat (my spine and other bones). I am currently on chemotherapy to try and stabilise the cancer from spreading or growing, but thats it.
