Help us to fight against hunger and promote small farmer agriculture!!
The project “Pontes da Terra'', which means “Bridges of Earth”, started when the Covid-19 pandemic impacted, on the one hand, the sales of small agroecological farmers and, on the other hand, the food security of urbans families.
The small farmers sell a great proportion of their products at the local fairs or to the public school system. The pandemic interrupted both of them and broke the common selling cycle of the producers. From the desire to connect these agroecological products with vulnerable families, “Pontes da Terra” project was born.
We raise money to buy part of the agroecological food and we donate it to community-based organizations, which distribute the food to people that are facing hunger in urban cities of the State of São Paulo.
We build the bridge between small farmers and people who have lost their jobs and are without money to buy food. We have already donated more than 12 tons of vegetables, fruits and greens, making this bridge strong between 35 producer families and 15.000 people.
