<div>I never imagined myself writing this, but here I am learning to lean on my village in ways I never have before. As someone who has always been independent, active, and committed to giving back, asking for help is not easy for me. But right now, I understand the need to set aside my pride because this fight is bigger than me.

<div>One year ago I received the life-altering diagnosis of stage lV metastatic breast cancer. As you can imagine, hearing those words shook me to my core. It was a moment that turned my world upside down forcing me to confront my mortality. For those who may not know me, I am a devoted mother to two incredible children, my 17-year-old daughter and my 3-year-old son. I am a loving friend, dedicated co-worker, an advocate, mentor, and a passionate leader in my community, committed to uplifting and empowering others, especially children young people and their families.

<div>As a 39 year old woman, a mother, a college

<div>student, and the backbone of my household, I am fighting every day to maintain a sense of normalcy for my children while facing the unimaginable. Each day I wake up determined to give them the love, stability, and joy they deserve, even as I battle a disease that threatens to take so much from us.

<div>Year one of this journey has been overwhelming - physically, emotionally, and financially - but it has also been profoundly transformative and spiritual. I am discovering new depths of resilience within myself and have leaned into my faith like never before. I have learned so much more about the power of holistic healing and found strength in the love and support of my community and the larger breast cancer community. Through all of this, my spirit remains unbroken and I am determined to heal &amp; overcome this disease.

<div>I am fortunate and grateful to have medical insurance, however all treatments aren’t fully covered, leaving me with out of pocket expenses. I strongly believe in a holistic approach to healing that includes nutrient-dense foods, supplements, and Eastern medicine so the idea of relying solely on pharmaceutical drugs feels incomplete. I want to incorporate complementary therapies to support my body through this process and allow me the best fighting chance at overcoming this.

<div>Asking for help is the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. And here I am, humbly asking for your support. Easing the financial burden will allow me to focus on my health and healing while caring for my children. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply keeping me in your thoughts and prayers, every bit of kindness, love and generosity means the world to me.

Donatuons will be used to cover medical bills, out of pocket expenses, holistic and integrative treatments that align with my healing journey and specialized physical therapy. Reaching my goal of $20,000 would be more than financial help, it would be love, hope, and time.
