Fight against Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma

Donation protected
In September of 2018, my brother Michael was diagnosed with Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell lymphoma (AITL) at the age of 28. Diagnosed at stage 4, AITL is an aggressive and rare lymphoma cancer, accounting for 1-2% of cases of non-Hodgkin’s in the U.S., with no cure. The median survival rate of AITL patients is 18 months.

In March, our family was elated that the cancer was in remission and my brother qualified for a bone marrow transplant. Originally scheduled to have the transplant in April, there was a scare that the cancer came back and his transplant was cancelled. After invasive testing and surgery, my brother has finally been cleared again!

After his final rounds of chemo, Michael will receive the transplant. The bone marrow transplant will be risky, but it’s a step in his journey to help his odds of survival.

Michael still has a long journey ahead of him and even longer medical bills. After his initial diagnosis, Michael continued to work full time through his weekly blood transfusions, surgeries, and extensive chemo treatments. As his sister, Michael has shown me the true definition of perseverance and strength. He continues to inspire me everyday and his level of love and care he has for others is something I look up to.

If you find it in your heart to donate, all donations will go towards his medical bills and bone marrow transplant.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for those who’ve prayed or continue to pray for Michael.

With love,
