<div>Vorig jaar veranderde het leven van mijn vader plotseling: na een acute medische situatie belandde hij in een rolstoel. Sinds januari woont hij in wooncentrum De Loericker Stee in Houten. Hoewel zijn wereld kleiner is geworden, verlangen we ernaar om hem zo veel mogelijk vrijheid en buitenlucht te kunnen geven.

<div>Daarom willen we graag een rolstoelfiets aanschaffen; een speciale fiets waarbij de rolstoel voorop gezet kan worden. Zo kunnen we samen met hem en andere bewoners van De Loericker Stee weer door Houten fietsen. De fiets zal in bezit en beheer van De Loericker Stee komen en zal – net als de huidige duo-fiets die er is – vrij te gebruiken zijn voor alle bewoners van het wooncentrum.

<div>De fietsen zijn veilig, stevig en maken een wereld van verschil maar ze zijn ook duur: tussen de 8.000 en 10.000 euro. Dat is een flink bedrag voor het wooncentrum alleen, en daarom vragen we om jouw hulp. Met het streefbedrag van 10.000 euro kunnen wij de fiets, met elektrische aandrijving en lier om de rolstoel op te trekken bekostigen. Elk extra bedrag zal worden gebruikt om de huidige duo-fiets die in bezit is van De Loericker Stee te onderhouden of te vervangen.
