Fidel Hernandez's Funeral fund

Donation protected
On Monday morning June 4th, Fidel passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his wife and kids. We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers in the last few months. This has been a very difficult time.   Fidel's funeral will be on Monday June 11th at 10:30am. Flowers can be sent to Stoddard Funeral Home or delivered to the church.  His obituary will be in the Greeley Tribune on Friday June 8th. Summit View Community Church  801 37th Street Evans, CO 80620 Stoddard Funeral Home  3205 W. 28th Street Greeley, CO 80634 Since early December our beloved father, grandfather, and Uncle “Feef” has been in and out of the hospital battling a serious lung infection. This has lead to him having two lung surgeries. This resulted in him going to a rehab center where he then fell and broke his hip and shoulder. Then he went BACK in the hospital for shoulder surgery. At his last hospital stay the Doctor discovered a highly suspicious mass on his liver! Because of the extent of care needed to assist in his recovery, he will have to remain in an assisted living facility for several months and may need additional in-home care when he is finally home. His rock, through all of this, has been his amazing wife Regina who has seldom left his side and has been his advocate at every turn. As a self-employed beautician and a kitchen manager at Centennial Elementary, Regina’s income is the primary support for the two of them. Not to mention Regina is recovering from non-hodgkin’s lymphoma which she was diagnosed with this past year. Their income has taken a serious hit because Regina simply cannot work and be available to support and care for Fidel. They need serious help and compassion! As anyone who has experienced the difficulty associated with caring for a loved one who is ill, you understand the hardship associated with trying to divide your time between work and obligations while your mind and heart are with your loved one. Worrying about working enough hours to pay the mortgage and utilities are the last things that either of them should be worried about when the family focus is on Fidel’s recovery home. Our ask is simple. Please consider giving what you can to help two people who would genuinely give the last of what they have to anyone with needs greater than theirs. Fidel and Regina have worked hard their whole lives and our hope is that during this extremely challenging time we can lift them up and help support them in their time of need. Our goal is $10,000 which will help funeral costs.
