Isle of Hope K-8, a Chatham County public TITLE 1 (high minority/low income) school has an Astronaut Club that has qualified 2 middle school teams (one all-girls!) for the National Student Astronaut Challenge at the Kennedy Space Center Feb 18-21, 2018. Last year we sent 1 team that took 2nd place in the Launch/ Landing simulation. This year we plan to be competitive in all 4 events that including launch, landing, engineering, and lab presentations.  We are the ONLY school representing Savannah Chatham Public Schools headed to this competition.

We need raise funds to send  20 Fiddlernauts and 4 chaperone/teachers to Cape Canaveral, FL which includes the cost of transportation, accommodations, meals, and competition entry fees. Every little bit you can give gets us closer to our goal. Our fundraising deadline is January 15th so we can make our final plans and reservations.

Many of our kids have never left Savannah, and most represent demographic groups that are historically underrepresented in STEM careers.  We need your help to make this trip happen.  There are no words to describe the impact this trip and their experience at Kennedy Space Center will make on their education and futures!

Thank you in advance for your support!
