This cause came to my attention by my young friend, Sophia who has two little adopted sisters from the Congo. Many women and girls in the Congo are violently raped to the point of needing reconstructive surgery. They are then disowned by their husbands and families as if it is their fault. St. Vincent's Medical Center helps to physically and emotionally help these women and young girls have a future. They ultimately need $60,000 to expand their facility. A charity in Italy may donate $30,000 and I'm looking to come up with the other $30,000, as well as $5,000 for surgeries that cost from $250 to $500 per surgery for these traumatized victims. This is a true crime against humanity and they need your help, now.
