Trigeminal Neuralgia Relief Fund

The 3 hardest words to ever say are: I NEED HELP-and I do. In early August I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia which makes my face feel like there is a hot poker in my ear and someone is trying to pull the nerves out of my face and mouth on the left side of my face (on the bright side the right side of my face is behaving quite nicely.) There have been A LOT of tears. I have taken A LOT of pills. Finally, I am at the point where surgery is necessary. My Doctor, who is wonderful-but located in Richmond, VA, wants to experiment with the least invasive of 2 surgeries (it is also the cheaper) available. The procedure is called a Glycerol Rhizotomy. My portion after insurance is a little over $40,000. Typically, we could go home the same day with this procedure, but since we are out of town we need to stick around and see if there are any complications.

We are liquidating everything we can to get a portion of this money, but there is NO WAY we can even come close to this amount. The hospital is going to work with us on payments and I'm sincerely hoping that I don't have to have the other surgery, which is called a Microvascular Decompression. So, basically, I'm trying to get by with a little help from my friends (i.e. Begging). If you have a few dollars to spare, I would very much appreciate you tossing them my way.
