We are the 2019-2020 Experimental Sounding Rocket Association, or ESRA, at Oregon State University and we aim to be the top student-led university team to design, build, and launch a solid-propellant, single-stage rocket to 30,000 ft with a scientific payload. ESRA aims to introduce and expand on aerospace engineering at OSU through hands-on experience with composites, structural designs, solid rocket propellant systems, parachutes, avionics systems, and much more!
In June of 2020, ESRA will depart to the world’s largest intercollegiate rocket engineering conference and competition: the Spaceport America Cup in New Mexico. There we will give a formal presentation to hundreds of our peers, advisers, mentors and prospective employers. We will then put our project to the ultimate test by integrating, launching and successfully recovering the rocket.
Our goal is to raise $2500 to fund lodging and food for team members during the 5-day event. Any monetary contribution that can be made will be an enormous help. Thank you for supporting the aerospace engineering program at
Oregon State University and this year’s ESRA team! Go Beavs!
