Kauffman Adoption Fund

Dear Friends,

We are in the process of adopting two orphan sisters from Ukraine. They lost both of their parents tragically a few years ago and are now living in an orphanage for the last few years. We hosted these girls twice through a Christian international hosting program, New Horizons For Children. For months before the girls came for their first visit God was stirring in our hearts and we prayed fervently for them and their future.

What a beautiful time we had with the girls as we watched the Grace and love of God pour into their hearts! What a privilege was ours to be the hands and feet of Jesus for a few precious weeks!  God gave us an overwhelming love for them and we sensed Him asking us to open our hearts and home and be the family these girls so long for.

From Scripture we learn that orphans are among those who are the closest to the heart of God. The tragedy these kids face alone and so extremely vulnerable is heartbreaking, and it is impossible to ever be the same after you've known them.

Yes, international adoption is very expensive (Our stated monetary goal here is the actual estimated cost) and there are a number of hurdles we still must face that seek to derail the process, but we nevertheless move forward in faith, trusting in God's leading.
