I am Mary, known to my beloved grandson Christopher as "Chamomo." On Thursday, August 17, 2023, our lives were profoundly impacted when Christopher suffered extensive burns encompassing 50% of his body, including his arms, legs, back, and chest, due to the negligent use of charcoal fluid. He underwent a 50-day rehabilitation at Valleywise Health Burn Center in Phoenix, where he received exemplary care from the entire medical team. Subsequently, he transitioned to Encompass Health Rehabilitation in Scottsdale for an 8-day program focusing on Physical and Occupational Therapy.

Christopher is now back at home, commencing an ongoing regimen of Outpatient Therapy, medical appointments, and follow-ups at the Burn Center Clinic. The journey to his full recovery and eventual return to work at TouchStar Theaters is an arduous one.

I am reaching out to humbly request your assistance in the form of donations to help alleviate the financial burden I currently face, covering essential expenses such as rent, utilities, food, gas, and supplies. Regrettably, my attempts to secure aid from various agencies and waitlists have yielded no response.

Though Christopher's Assistant Manager, Melanie, initiated a Venmo account for him, it has not been as successful as we had hoped, as it lacks a broad outreach. While the Arizona Burn Foundation graciously covered our September rent and utilities, their assistance is limited to a single month. My sole source of income is Social Security, which arrives monthly and is insufficient to cover our ongoing rent and utility expenses. Christopher played a pivotal role in helping with these financial obligations, and your support would significantly ease our concerns.
