Care for Our Seniors Like Care for Our Parents

Want to join us to make a difference for seniors? CAPA Cares is a student volunteer group of CAPA-HC. Our mission is to serve the Howard County community, specifically the elderly minorities, by providing relief and comfort through companionship and resources. We already helped 80+ seniors since the pandemic shutdown in 2020. Many of them are non-English speakers, low-incomers, and solitaries. We have coordinated the delivery of over 19,000 pounds of fresh produce and groceries to seniors during the pandemic shutdown. We also helped them with translations, celebrated Lunar New Year, made food, and provided much more help they needed. This year, we will be organizing a series of art shows for seniors. The first art show reception will be held on Sep 10, 2022. On the same day, we will make mooncakes for them to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. We are raising money to pay for the frames of the arts and expenses for all other activities in the whole year. Please care for our seniors like care for our parents!
