Mark's Legacy

Mark Brown fought cancer with a smile on his face and a laugh at the ready.  He did not fight alone.  His wife Amy was always by his side and, in Mark's words "stepped up in so many ways."  In addition their children, Brennan, Jessica and Mallory faced this fight with bravery and maturity beyond their years.

After winning the first round with Ewings' Sarcoma last year Mark and  Amy sent their son, Brennan, off to serve the Lord on a mission to Sweden in fall 2013.  Mark knew already that the cancer had come back but the doctors approved delaying treatment to allow him to participate without hindrance in that farewell.  None of us thought then that it would be farewell until the next life for father and son.  

When Mark left us on October 4 he left behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and joy for life.  If you can donate to help ease his family's financial burdens at this time, please do.  But do not feel you have to donate to leave a message or relate a memory.  Your memories and messages have helped to lift us up throughout this ordeal.  Our family has felt the power of your prayer, thoughts, and love and word cannot express our gratitude.  Your thoughts and kindness are more precious to us than anything.  Thank you.
