Hello my name is Cece Johnston. My husband and I are trying to help my daughter Tamara and her family pay for her mountain of medical bills. She was diagnoised with Chiari Malformation in 2010 and things have been up and down since then.
Chiari Malformation is a condition in which brain tissue extends into your spinal canal. It occurs when part of your skull is too small or misshapen pressing on your brain and forcing it downward. There is no cure and the treatments are from pills to shots in the head to surgery. To look at those who have this, you think there is nothing wrong with them but with Chiari you can not judge a book by its cover. Those suffering from this are strong and couragous as they can be, because the pain at times is unberable. There are a host of other problems associated with Chiari. Many times it is 2 steps forward and 10 steps back. Tamara has insurance but it does not cover enough.
My daughter is a wife and mother of three girls as some of you may know. She tries her best to keep things as normal as possible. She went to school and became an EMT which ended with this diagnosis. She can only drive short distances. She can not work and this too can be devastating to a person in her 30's.
I am asking for any help to pay for her medical bills because there is no cure and the bills are endless.
