FFYC - In Memory of Sam Faust

My name is Jade Henry and I am stepping into the ring to 'Fight for your Cause' in loving memory of our good friend Sam Faust.
My now husband and I first met Kya and Sam in 2006 , both Mark and Sam had signed to play for the North Queensland Cowboys, we had a fun crew and we’re loving life spending the weekends at the footy , BBQs, hanging out , living life without a care in the world .
In 2009 Sam was diagnosed with ‘Acute myeloid leukemia’. And cue the shock ... this doesn’t happen to one of us does it? But he’s so young , so fit....surely he will beat it. Our crew was in total denial.
We said goodbye to Sam in 2011 when he lost his battle with leukemia and still to this day I do not know how Kya managed to go on. But here we are today and let me tell you she is thriving , a successful interior designer and stylist , and raising 3 very independent sassy girls.
I will be raising money in the community of Townsville in honour of sam's memory and to raise much needed funds to help those suffering from Leukemia.
