Legal name change

I’m extremely embarrassed and super anxious  about asking for help. I’ve always been the first one to help others and now it’s my turn to accept the support I need. As you can  see I have been transitioning male to female.  This journey is exciting yet challenging and there has been a lot of financial obstacles  and sadness. One of them has been my name. It’s never matched my gender identity and soul. The name I’ve selected is Angelina. This name has a lot of heart and there’s a special reason why I have decided to make it my legal name. At a very young age my sister passed away from a brain tumor. I was about 5 and she was  15. Her  name was Evangelina. She was my best friend, my confidant, and my peace. She was the only one that I related to. She knew my truth. I told myself that if I ever had a baby girl I would name her Evangelina.  One of the reasons It took me longer to come out and transition  is fact that I would not be able to have my own children. So the best thing I can do is to live my life in her honor and  name myself Angelina and be her sister.


Today I’m reaching out for help . Help me reach my dreams, fulfill my goals. Help me be complete. If you are unable to donate it’s ok. However one thing I do request from you  is to be kind to one another. It’s our differences that unite us. I understand not everyone understands transgender people. I can san say this, we want the same thing that all humans yearn for: happiness, peace, security, love and acceptance.  Being a transgender woman is one of bravest things I’ve ever done, and asking for help is second.
