Ava Grace Evans was born on September 30, 2014.  The 9 months that she developed in her mother's womb, we were told she was a high risk baby.  They did not see the corpus collosum in her brain (the piece that seperates the right and left hemisphere).  Upon arrival into this world, the doctors felt that Ava was normal and it was safe to send her home.  On Thursday, shortly after leaving Greenville Memorial Hospital, Ava continued to have seizure-like symptoms.  We traveled to the Anderson ER where nurses could not get an IV in Ava without her veins bursting.  They quickly transported us to Greenville Children's Hospital.  Doctors have confirmed that Ava's corpus collosum is in her brain, but it being shoved to the side by a "mass" on the left hemishphere.  We are uncertain as to what this "mass" is.  Through further tests we have discovered an additional spot on the right hemishpere which has been named an "impact injury" spot.  We have been told that our beautiful angel, Ava, will always have seizures.  Her brain did not develop properly in the womb and she will have developmental delays.  We don't know what kind or the severity until the moments arrive.  For now we are waiting for further information and more importantly answers.  Mommy and Daddy have been at Ava's side non-stop since the moment she entered this world.  They are exhausted, but refuse to leave their little diva's side.  Any amount will help as we continue on this unknown journey that we now call life.
