Logan's Medical Fund

Precious Logan was born to Kyle McCann and his fiancee Jackie Rich on September 18, 2017. Although he was only 3 pounds and 12 ounces, he was a fighter right from the start. Logan faced many medical issues upon coming into this world, the biggest challenges being cataracts, cleft lip and palate and missing both ulnar bones in his arms. Logan was born with cataracts and surgery to fix this will be the first of many surgeries Logan will face. Surgery will be at 10 and 11 weeks old to fix the cataracts, one surgery for each eye. Logan was also born with a cleft lip and cleft palate. Having this makes eating difficult for Logan so he has had a feeding tube from the time he was born. Logan's medical team has already started preparing Logan for his first of many surgeries to repair the cleft lip and cleft palate. When Logan has completed his surgeries for the cleft lip and palate he should only be left with a scar but it will be a long process to get there. Logan was also born missing both ulnar bones in his forearms. The prognosis for this is difficult to gage since this is pretty rare but he will definitely need therapy for his arms which will likely occur in St. Louis. The unexpected also happens as Logan recently suffered from a Urinary Tract Infection and an IV had to be placed in his head. Jackie and Kyle are extremely hard working people, Jackie being a CNA and Kyle a Mechanic. Jackie has remained with Logan in St. Louis and will continue to do so until it is his time to come home. Unfortunately Kyle can only visit on weekends so he can continue to work both of his jobs and to care for their other two children. All of this has taken a toll on Jackie and Kyle, physically, mentally and financially. Jackie and Kyle will continue to face financial restraints in the upcoming months and years.
