On the evening of March 29th, 2025, this sweet neighborhood cat was hit in front of our house while my family and I were outside playing in the backyard. The driver of the vehicle didn't stop even though they knew dang well they hit an animal. We still can't get the sound out of our heads.

Once we found him under our mini barn after he ran off (it took us a long time to get him out, unfortunately), he couldn't use his back legs. I took him to an urgent care vet today (Sunday) in Indianapolis. We know bones are broken in his foot, but he needs an x-ray to really confirm his injuries (his hip might also be broken, and his bladder and pelvic bone need to be checked). This is not our cat, but he does spend a lot of time around our house playing with our boys, and we want to do what we can to save his life. We started calling him Fester when he showed up a few months ago, and it just stuck, so he is Fester Kitty to us. We paid $198 today for his exam and medicine we brought home, while still needing to order a couple online due to the cost being less that way.

I'm asking for help for enough money to cover his x-ray. It's $310 and unfortunately, they don't allow donations directly to them; I have to pay it in full. I wish you could pay them directly, but doing this page instead of Venmo allows you all to see how much has been collected, as we aren't looking for more money than what's needed to get him this x-ray.
