Fertility treatment- Jayme & Monica
Hello!! My name is Jayme and my wife is Monica. We met at the age of sixteen & seventeen and have been together for eleven years now. When Monica and I both turned twenty we decided to get married. And of course like most people, we were excited to begin our new journey as a married couple. I won't lie and say it’s been an easy one, but I can promise you that every second alongside my wife has been worth it. Shortly after marriage we talked about trying to start our own family. It became our biggest desire. We were both preparing and excited about the idea of welcoming our child into this world. It’s been seven years. For seven years my wife and I have tried to have a baby. Eventually my wife and I began to grow discouraged, leading to hopelessness. Time went by and we didn't realize we were slowly giving up on what we wanted most in life. Seven years my wife and I have spent alongside each other with no success in conceiving our family. We decided we couldn't just give up so we reached out for professional help. We went to see a fertility specialist. This specialist has given us so much hope for what we thought was impossible. He has recommended Intrauterine Insemination (IUI).We went through with our IUI (medications and 2rounds of gonal-F) and still no success. Already in visits and a surgery my wife had, we have spent close to 10,000$. Our specialist did recommend us to move to an IVF. Monica and I don’t come from wealthy families. And on top of that, I'm currently the only one with an income because due to the fact of my wife taking too much stress at work and that would have made some of the success in this journey slimmer . My wife and I have always worked for what we have and needed, making sure to never inconvenience others. But at this time in life, where we feel like our dream of a family is about to be made, we are asking for help. We are quickly going through our savings and reaching our limit. But we don't want to give up just yet. Anything would help us, even simply sharing our story. Monica and I would like to thank you for taking the time to read about our journey.
Hola! Me llamo Jayme y mi esposa es Mónica. Nos reunimos a la edad de dieciséis y diecisiete años y hemos estado juntos desde hace once años. Cuando Monica y yo cumplimos veinte años decidimos casarnos. Y por supuesto, como la mayoría de la gente, estábamos emocionados de comenzar nuestro nuevo viaje como pareja casada. No mentiré y diré que ha sido fácil, pero puedo prometerte que cada segundo junto a mi esposa ha valido la pena. Poco después del matrimonio hablamos de intentar empezar nuestra propia familia. Se convirtió en nuestro mayor deseo. Estuvimos preparando y entusiasmados con la idea de acoger a nuestro hijo en este mundo. Han pasado siete años. Durante siete años mi esposa y yo hemos intentado tener un bebé. Con el tiempo mi esposa y yo empezamos a crecer desanimados, lo que llevó a la desesperanza. Pasó el tiempo y no nos dimos cuenta de que poco a poco estábamos dando por hecho lo que más queríamos en la vida. Siete años mi esposa y yo hemos pasado juntos sin éxito en concebir nuestra familia. Decidimos que no podíamos darnos por vencido, así que nos poníamos en contacto con la ayuda profesional. Fuimos a ver a un especialista en fertilidad. Este especialista nos ha dado tantas esperanzas de lo que creíamos imposible. Ha recomendado Inseminación Intrauterina (IU). Pasamos con nuestra IUI (medicaciones y 2 rondas de F-gonal) y todavía no ha tenido éxito. Ya en visitas y una cirugía que mi esposa tuvo, hemos gastado cerca de 10.000$. Nuestro especialista nos recomendó pasar a una FIV. Monica y yo no vengo de familias ricas. Y además de eso, actualmente soy el único con un ingreso porque debido al hecho de que mi esposa se estresara demasiado en el trabajo y eso habría hecho que parte del éxito en este viaje fuera más delgado. Mi esposa y yo siempre hemos trabajado para lo que tenemos y necesitábamos, asegurándonos de no molestar nunca a otros. Pero en este momento de la vida, donde sentimos que nuestro sueño de una familia está a punto de ser hecho, estamos pidiendo ayuda. Estamos pasando rápidamente por nuestros ahorros y alcanzando nuestro límite. Pero aún no queremos darnos por vencido. Cualquier cosa nos ayudaría, incluso simplemente compartir nuestra historia.
