Fertility Preservation for Shayla

Hey, it's Eileen and I'm setting this up to raise money to help pay for the process of preserving Shayla's eggs.

As some of you know, Shayla was diagnosed with leukemia around December 2021. She had been in and out of the hospital since mid-November at that point.

Just recently Shayla had a cardiac event where she walked in for a lab, passed out, and they lost her pulse. Ultimately they implanted an ICD (pacemaker/defibrillator) in her chest.

With radiation treatments soon, they must harvest her uterine tissue and eggs if she were to ever want kids of her own in the future, as the radiation will more than likely make her infertile.

Our insurance company backed out of paying for the procedure, so the $13,000 hospital bill will have to be paid completely by us, along with many more hospital bills already facing us.
