My wife, Denielle, and I have been going through a really rough time financially. We are rather embarrassed and this is hard for us to do, but we really don’t see another option right now. My wife has fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and other health issues that we still need her to get tested for to find some answers. After having our son Hudson, her symptoms have gotten much worse and she is really struggling right now. I had to leave my full-time job because the 12-hour days were too hard on her with two kids. We have applied for disability, but that is a very long process. I have found other work, but we have just had a tough year overall and have fallen severely behind on our monthly obligations.
Our immediate needs are to avoid eviction, which could happen any day now as the writ of eviction was issued on May 26th, and to keep our car from getting taken away, which could also happen any day, and to prevent our gas from being shut off on June 5. We have had pledges come through for assistance for eviction, so the remaining balance due to avoid eviction is $802 (this does not include May rent, which was due on the 19th). Our long-term need would be to get ahead on rent and bills and to pay off our car (a little under $4000 left). Any help you can offer to help us with this would be much appreciated.
