Fernando's Living Expenses

Fernando has been a great friend to Bradley and me since 1999, and to so many of you since Veritas Wine Room opened in 2008.
Over the last 12 years, Fernando has become synonymous with Veritas, and without Fernando there would be no Veritas.
In August, Fernando went in for what was supposed to be routine neck surgery to relieve the pressure caused by spinal stenosis. Unfortunately, the surgery did not go as planned and Fernando was paralyzed. After several months in the hospital, he was released to the care of his brother Jose Garcia, who is now his full-time caretaker.
While Fernando has shown some very minor signs of improvement, he is not yet able to take care of himself and is effectively completely disabled. We hold out hope that he will continue to improve and that in the upcoming months he can regain some use of his extremities, but as of today, he is a quadriplegic.
Fernando has always been a dedicated friend and worker, and he has always provided for his family and friends, but right now, he needs all of our help.
We are hoping to raise sufficient money for Fernando so that his brother Luis can continue to stay home and act as Fernando’s full-time caretaker.
