Fernando Gomez Alvarez Memorial

Fernando Gomez Alvarez arrived in Ajijic with his partner Steve Cross, on February 1st 2008 after purchasing Casa Flores Bed and Breakfast.

Fernando immediately immersed himself in giving back to the community, with his “pay it forward” attitude, giving of both his time and money to several local charities, namely the School for Special Needs Children, Villa Infantil orphanage, and the Pathways Scholarship fund among others. He had a burning desire for others to improve their lives through the medium of education and also wanted to create a lasting legacy in the lakeside area that he loved so dearly.

He was blessed with a loving and supportive family in his own life, and was taught from a young age to reach out to anyone in need. This education scholarship fund will be his continued legacy, providing others with an opportunity to reach their goals and reach for their future.

Your gift to this fund can help to assure that a good student (who is the first in their family in most cases), gets to attend the University of Guadalajara. Sponsor a student today and change the life of a family forever.

You may also contact Pat at [email redacted] or go directly to her websit at www.pathwaysmx.org if you wish to donate in Fernando's name.
