The late Ferdinand Mwangura Micho battled Chronic Myeloid Leukemia for 13 years. Since his diagnosis in 2005, he dedicated his life to creating awareness of this form of Cancer in Kenya. Through Henzo Kenya, an organization he helped set up to provide patient & caregiver support, he worked with Max Foundation among other global organizations to advocate for treatment for Cancer patients in Kenya and Africa at large. He was an advocate till his last breathe.
Ferdinand has left behind a 6-year old daughter. Funds raised here will be used to:
• Offset hospital bill
• Meet funeral expenses
• Set up an education trust for his daughter
• Get health insurance policy for her
The burial is slated for 10th March 2018. His daughter will be starting a new school term in April 2018 therefore the funds will be needed immediately.
The support will go a long way in ensuring that Ferdinand’s daughter gets a decent education as well as be able to access quality healthcare if need be.
From the interactions his family has had with other patients, we would like to continue with his work in helping many with patient -caregiver support.
We will be eternally grateful for your help.
