TNR Campaign

Feral Change volunteers are committed to helping the West Oakland and neighboring communities humanely control and manage its community cat population through a humane process known as TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return).

The vast majority of kittens entering the city's shelter and rescues each year are bred and born on the city's streets. The influx of kittens each year causes overwhelming demand on resources. Volunteers concerned about the health of the community, and the welfare of homeless cats are proactively addressing the situation at the root cause and are committed to working together to humanely spay/neuter the area's community cats. Our "No Kill Movement" contribution is the gift of "No Birth".

Please help us raise funds for these spay/neuter services.  Clinic services cost $20 per cat and cover spay/neuter surgery; flea treatment; dewormer; one-time vet check; and vaccinations.

All donations are fully tax deductible and 100% of donations support Island Cat Resources and Adoption (ICRA).  ICRA supports the efforts of Feral Change and sponsors our outreach while we are in the process of obtaining our nonprofit status.

Every dollar raised goes directly to help pay for spay/neuter services. The cost of processing credit card donations has been covered by an anonymous donor. Please help us end the cycle of breeding and make kitten seasons a thing of the past! Fewer kittens and cats means a decrease in the number of ferals entering the city's shelter where their fate is uncertain, and fewer cats and kittens needing placement by rescues. Altered community cats live longer, healthier, and more peaceful lives.
