FEMA Failed Her. We Won’t.

Help Us Build Her a Home After the Storm
Since January, my friend has been living in a tent on her own property in Florida—waiting on FEMA.
She applied for assistance. She followed every step. But six months later, she’s still sleeping under a tarp, through Florida’s heat, rain, and storms.
She’s a hurricane survivor. And she’s been abandoned.
We’re Done Waiting. We’re Building Her a Home Ourselves.
This isn’t about comfort. It’s about dignity.
We’re raising $15,000 to purchase and deliver a weatherproof structure she can safely live in—a place with walls, a locking door, and relief from the elements. Nothing extravagant. Just a real roof over her head.
She owns the land. All we need is the structure.
Why This Matters
FEMA has left her behind.
She’s still sleeping outside in July heat.
This can be fixed, right now, with the help of real people—not more red tape.
Every dollar raised goes directly toward the purchase, delivery, and setup of this structure, through our 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Hope After Disaster Inc. All donations are tax-deductible.
We’re going to surprise her with it. But we can’t do it alone.
You Can Be Part of This
Even small contributions move the needle. Even one share might bring this in front of someone who can help.
We’ve seen too many people forgotten after disasters. This time, we’re stepping in.
Thank you for your time—and for believing that everyone deserves safe shelter.
