<div>Celia Phelps Memorial United Methodist Church experienced a catastrophic fire on August 6th, 2021, destroying all of the main sanctuary and a significant portion of the fellowship hall.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>The church is underway in rebuilding, but it is a given that full recovery is a long-term effort, and many pieces have to be put back in place.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>We are asking for your financial assistance in helping us rebuild Celia Phelps UMC.  We want you to be part of that success.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Galatians 6:2 urges us to
</div>

<div><strong>"Carry each other's burdens and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ."</strong>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Since 1905 Celia Phelps has been a force for good in our community. For about the last ten years, the church has sponsored a Food Pantry for the community and is a Godsend for those who are hungry. The church is also a leader in the community sponsoring Covid-19 vaccination and educational events. The church has also provided assistance to those in need of rent or utilities.<br /><br />
</div>

<div>With the fire, these and other community efforts have of course been significantly slowed.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>2 of the main goals will be, focusing on rebuilding that puts Celia Phelps in a "better" position to serve the community and prepares the church for the unexpected things that will obviously occur during rebuilding.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>From Micah 7:11 it states<br /><strong>It will be a day for building your walls.<br /></strong><strong>On that day will your boundary be extended.</strong>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Your giving to this effort will go a long way towards reaching these goals and allowing the church to continue and expand service to God's people.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Please let others know about our rebuilding efforts.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>May GOD continue to watch over you.
