Each one of us will have a time in our life when we need our people to gather close and provide help. Right now, our friend, Felicia Gainey, needs that support because she's been diagnosed with breast cancer, invasive ductal carcinoma.
Felicia is undeniably one of the most dynamic, caring, upbeat, joyous people I know. Felicia has spent her entire adult life taking care of others....her family, her patients, her co-workers. She is always one of the first to pitch in when someone is in need. Felicia and Anthony have been married for 20 years and they have two amazing children, Brandyn and McKenzye.
There is a tremendous ripple effect that a diagnosis of cancer can have on nearly every aspect of a cancer patients life. Felicia works two jobs to support her family. Medical treatments to beat this breast cancer will be costly, time-consuming, emotionally draining, and physically exhausting. Unfortunately, our warrior friend, Felicia, will need to work during her treatments and will do so as long as she is physically able. Felicia's out of pocket expenses for medical tests are already adding up. Donations of any amount will provide financial assistance as well as an emotional cushion for Felicia and her family as they fight this hideous disease. We are going to brace together as a team and move forward together....the stronger we are the stronger she will be! She has a tentative surgery date of December 6th to have a bilateral mastectomy. Once they have the results of her MammaPrint test and her genetic testing then they will determine what type of chemotherapy she will require.
