Feed the Horses: Help Spy & Chance

My name is Shan and I've had a life-long love and passion for horses. I acquired Spy and Chance many years ago and due to financial hardship I am struggling to provide food for them. I was recently faced with the option of humane euthanization, but I can’t bear to do that, so I am giving it one last go by trying to raise some funds to feed them for the next year until I can get back on my feet.
Spy and Chance were both school horses at a local riding stable where I had the honor of working. Spy, a favorite of many people, was one of the best trail guide horses there, just such a sweet horse and a pleasure to ride. After seven years, he could no longer be ridden due to some lameness issues, so I decided to bring him to the farm I was living at back in 2004 to give him a forever home. After some rest, his lameness improved significantly and I was able to use him in therapeutic riding lessons. He loved all the attention; the kids loved him, and he was so good with them. I also did some summer camps with him, and we spent many wonderful years this way.
Then, along came Chance. He was only able to work at the school for about a year because of navicular disease, and the dealer was taking him to auction, so I decided to bring him home too. He is the sweetest, kindest horse-in-your-pocket kinda guy. I’ve had him with me since 2008, and he and Spy are inseparable.
Recently, I had to move from the farm I lived at due to the owner wanting to sell. A very kind friend lets me live and keep the horses at her farm, but it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to make ends meet. I have reached out to several rescues to rehome them, but there are so many wonderful horses in great need of help. I am asking friends, family, and horse lovers to donate so I can raise enough to provide for Spy and Chance for one year until I can save a bit of money to continue caring for them. The $3,500 would cover hay, grain, feet trimming, and medication for one year. Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.
