About me
I’m Keeley Scarborough, after I got furloughed, I had a deep desire to show love to people who may be feeling alone, forgotten and unloved while we were in lock down, and heard God say "feed my sheep" (John 21: 17).
My Response
I started making meals for the lonely & vulnerable and making cooking videos as I had always enjoyed helping teach people to cook and Feeding the family was born.

After being made redundant, i have no doubt that Feeding the Family is where i’m to focus my energy and will continue to support the people of Basildon with help from some amazing volunteers and a model that is quite unique. i sell home cooked healthy and nutritious meals called Grow bags and each one covers the cost of a meal i Give away.
Next is a food van
It will allow us to carry more meals, keep them hot allowing us to travel further and for longer.
Calculations
I have done some research around what we need and a Jiffy can looks perfect, providing both refrigeration and food warming in line with Food standards agency requirements. They range in price from £3.5k for 2008 and £13k for 2016. I'm after something in between for around to get started with and will also need to cover cost of insurance £1400 , TAX and MOT.
With this second Lockdown there has been an increased interest from local schools, churches and charities to refer people to us and as momentum builds i want to be ready to meet the needs of my community.
