I will split any funds raised between two volunteer projects I've been helping with since the Covid19 outbreak.

1.  Bayswater Mutual Aid
https://nextdoor.co.uk/g/xc1eop1rm/?is=tophat
I am part of the Operations and Leadership teams for the Bayswater Mutual Aid.  We are a group of volunteers in Bayswater, Lancaster Gate, Paddington, Maida Vale, Westbourne Grove and surrounding areas.  We help connect vulnerable residents with local (healthy) volunteers who can pick up shopping, walk the dog and collect prescriptions.  We also offer companion calls.  Increasingly, we are finding that residents need food vouchers, financial assistance and referrals to food banks.  Residents on Universal Credit and low incomes are finding their bills and cost of living increasing and there is great financial strain placed on individuals in the borough.

I would like to use part of any funds raised through this GoFundMe to contribute to food vouchers or supermarket shops.  I would also like to use some of the money to support a new 'Friday Night Take Away' initiative we're planning where we will deliver pre-cooked meals to our most vulnerable clients from previous weeks.  We've also supported 'stranded' international students with nowhere to live and a long wait to get home.

2. Homeless Food Parcels at Westbourne Grove Church
http://www.westbournegrovechurch.org/lobby-lunch-monday-morning-drop-in/
I have been a member of this church just over a year and in normal life they do a lot of work with homeless people and those on very low incomes.  Now that they can no longer be welcomed into the building we are offering a food parcel (made up of a breakfast, lunch and dinner) plus hot drinks and porridge to take away every Monday and Friday morning.

A lot of neighbours of the church have generously donated items of food already but it would be really nice to have the cash to purchase the items people (especially people who are sleeping rough) can really use.  A few of the volunteers have experimented with making omelettes which have been very popular and it's a lovely thing to offer a hot, nutritious and well presented meal to someone going through a really difficult time.  We see between 20 and 30 people at each drop in and they're twice a week so the costs do add up.

I would like to use part of any funds raised through this GoFundMe to contribute to the weekly shop for the homeless parcels and to perhaps also pay for the little extras that people appreciated such as portable chargers, can openers and baby wipes.

Both fundraisers are for the duration of the effects of lockdown.  I am not saying I'll split everything 50:50 between the two projects but I will take a view each week about where the needs are and keep any donors updated.

I'd be very happy to talk to you more about either project.  Thank you for your support.
