Feeding Cairo

Aslaamu Alaykum,

This year's events have weighed heavily on our hearts, bearing witness to the challenges faced by individuals in Palestine, Sudan, China, and numerous other regions worldwide. This Ramadan presents an opportunity to extend our generosity and support to those in need, ensuring that families can share a meal during this holy month.

We have been running this campaign for six years, and the overwhelming generosity displayed by all has deeply moved me. I humbly request your continued support during Ramadan to help provide sustenance to the streets of Cairo. Inflation in Egypt has soared, making it increasingly difficult for its residents to afford necessities. This year, we focus on orphaned families and single mothers, aiming to provide them with larger food packages containing essential items that have become prohibitively expensive.

In the past five years, we have strived to offer Ramadan Bags to 50 orphaned and single-mother families, easing their daily struggles and uncertainties regarding their children's meals after fasting throughout the day.

Could you assist us in achieving this goal and more? In times of hardship, our acts of charity are rewarded manifold by Allah.

I implore all who read this message to consider donating at least $10 towards this cause, contributing to the nourishment of a fasting individual during the sacred month of Ramadan. If donating directly is not feasible, I kindly ask you to share this message with those who can contribute and earn the reward of guiding others to perform noble deeds.

This year's target is to raise a minimum of $10,000 to support 100 or more families feeding themselves during Ramadan.

To ensure that these 50 families receive food during Ramadan, we aim to reach $2,500 before the first ten days. Any surplus funds will be utilized to create additional food boxes for underprivileged families in Cairo. We are collaborating with local mosques that maintain lists of needy families to ensure these provisions reach their intended recipients.

Beyond fulfilling the needs of 100 families, any remaining donations will be allocated towards distributing meat to these families during the final ten days of Ramadan, bringing joy to their Eid celebrations.

Ramadan is a time for believers to exhibit virtues such as generosity, love, and kindness. Through acts of charity this month, we can reap the great rewards Allah bestows.

15 Pounds of Rice

10 Pounds of Mixed Pasta

5 Liters of Oil

5 Pounds of Lentils

5 Pounds of Dried Beans

5 Cans of Tuna

2 Liters of Pasta Sauce

5 Pounds of Sugar

5 Pounds of Flour
