Feed Those in Need During COVID-19!

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, thousands of families that rely on North Texas Food Bank and Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) meals are at risk of not meeting nutritional needs. Moreover, lower wages and/or school closures have made access to food more difficult than ever for countless families. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), undernutrition increases health care costs, slows economic growth, and weakens immunity for infectious diseases such as COVID-19.
Especially for non-profit organizations that rely on work from volunteers, COVID-19 can potentially reduce the outreach of groups such as North Texas Food Bank and FMSC. While the virus may physically hinder us from helping local organizations, it has not made it impossible. With each meal at FMSC and North Texas Food Bank costing less than 25 and 33 cents respectively, the smallest amounts of compassion are enough to feed dozens of people. All funds will be split evenly between North Texas Food Bank and FMSC.
