Feed the Frontline with Anna’s Taqueria 

All over this country, medical workers are putting their lives on the line to care for the victims of Covid-19. They work long hours, risk infection both of themselves and their loved ones, and often don’t have the time or energy to care for themselves at a moment when their continued good health is essential to the health and well-being of the entire country. 
 
At the same time, our local communities, particularly our restaurants, have been hit hard by the essential shelter-in-place orders that have been instituted to try and slow the spread of the virus. The future of community based restaurants is in doubt as they have had to lay off workers and close stores because there is not enough takeout business to sustain normal operations.  
 
Here’s the plan: During the month of April, we’d like to send a raft of tasty and nutritious burrito meals (including chips, salsa and water) to frontline medical workers in area hospitals. If the need continues into May and we can keep this rolling, we will!
 
This fundraiser was created by friends and fans of Anna’s Taqueria, a beloved Boston-based institution, with a long history of philanthropic involvement in the community by both the company and personally, by owners Mike and Betsy Kamio. Anna's is stepping up to make and deliver delicious hot meals for the members of our medical community, but we need your help to fund this operation.
 
For just $10, you can send a delicious meal to frontline medical workers and support staff. 
 
Whatever amount you can give would be useful and appreciated, but we’re aiming for 50 meals per delivery. 
 
We’ll be looking to add other hospitals, but to start with we’ll be partnering with Boston Medical Center, who’ve been hit hard financially and recently had to lay off staff.
