Feed the Frontline Lower Mainland

Vancouver has a campaign dedicated to hospitals and care facilities to feed frontline workers, but what about all those frontline workers in Burnaby, New Westminster, Surrey and Langley?

Help support the local restaurants and our healthcare workers with a generous donation. Our goal with Feed the Frontline Lower Mainland is to support the heroes in scrubs on the frontlines who are working tirelessly and selflessly to keep us all safe, while supporting local restaurants who are really hurting during this COVID-19 pandemic. Restaurant workers can stay employed and our frontline staff can be well-fed from the spirit of the community!

All funds will be used to purchase high quality and individually-packed meals directly from our restaurant partners and deliver them to recipients at hospitals, social service centers and care homes.  
 
Note:  All meals are prepared, packaged, and delivered with the highest standard of food safety requirements including the use of disposable gloves.  Meals are individually packed so that frontline staff can eat easily and hygienically, and safe delivery following physical distancing guidelines.


Our Goal

We know that as much as this is a difficult time for everyone right now, our frontline workers make huge sacrifices to leave their families, work tirelessly around the clock to fight COVID-19 to keep our loved ones safe while putting themselves at risk. Many are terrified and anxious to go to work, only to come home exhausted with no chance to cook and buy groceries. We want to give back to them with daily meals that they can look forward to from our favourite local restaurants that are struggling to survive.

We need to come together as a community to help and support each other so that we can ensure our frontline workers know we appreciate and are thankful for all that they do, and by giving a chance to businesses to ensure they will be able to survive this crisis so that once it ends, there are still jobs and we can all enjoy the places we love again.

The more support we receive, the more facilities we can reach out to as we want to give back to as many healthcare facilities as we can. We will post photos and update this page daily to show you what your funds have been able to achieve. We’re starting with a goal of 50+ meals daily to our health care workers in Burnaby, Delta, Surrey, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, Langley, and White Rock.

How It Works

- 100% of the funds will be used to purchase meals from local participating businesses at a discounted rate

Meal costs include the cost of food, wages, taxes and delivery.
