Feed The Fight - Fairfield/Green Valley

COVID-19 is placing historic demands on our local health care system and they are on the front line of this crisis. Nurses, doctors and other health care providers and first-responder workers are facing mounting physical and emotional demands. It is clear from local projections that the intensity of this situation will build over the next month or two, nationally and locally. In addition, the economic hardships on local restaurants and eateries throughout the greater Fairfield area is dramatic. We have a win-win-win solution that you can join.


Feed the Fight: Fairfield-Green Valley is following a national model started by a woman in Washington, DC with the goal to support local restaurants and to support and bolster morale for our local health care professionals and first responders (fire, police and emergency medical services) during this difficult time. Feed the Fight; Fairfield-Green Valley is raising money to pay restaurants to provide $10-$15 meals to be delivered to ER and ICU staff at NorthBay Hospital and local first responder teams. Other hospitals and teams will be added with increased funding success.  This provides needed food (and a show of appreciation) to the front line and keeps local restaurants open and earning.

This GoFundMe page is an interim fundraising step to start fundraising while we build other mechanisms. ALL donations will go directly to the restaurants and flow through to the front line. Many restaurants are providing modest discounts and helping with deliveries.

Feed the Fight: Fairfield-Green Valley was kick started by Green Valley Landowners Association (GVLA) which has pushed for positive changes in the area for over 50 years.  We have established direct connections with NorthBay Hospital, local first responder agencies and have already lined up 6 local restaurants to participate with more joining the effort daily.
