In August, Donna will have been gone for 15 years. First, I would like to thank everyone for your past gifts. With your gifts, over 10,000 meals have been provided to the homeless teen youth of Springfield on the weekends when other food programs are not available. So, literally, you are feeding hungry homeless teens. Each dollar donated goes 100% to buy sack lunch ingredients tax-free at Sam's. Then, our small group gathers the Thursday night before the second Friday of each month. We take the ingredients and make 40 sack lunches containing a turkey with cheese sandwich, chips, a breakfast bar, a cutie orange, and a sweet snack. Then, with the leftover slices of bread, we make 10 PB&J sandwiches for anyone that is vegetarian. Thank you for your support in Donna’s name.

I am beginning to understand adjusting to a new normal, as part of my spirit left with my Soulmate Donna. After 15 years, I still wake up in a full panic knowing Donna is not sleeping beside me. Before my mind is fully engaged, I feel overwhelmed by disappointing Donna. I never wake up thinking I am in trouble, just not being able to live up to Donna’s standard of compassion and caring for those we love and those who are marginalized. Because of this, I still carry out her mission of being the hands and feet of Christ to the children. Blessings, Robert.
